These terms govern your use of Reap Guard, an on-device security application published by Venmara Limited Company of Accra, Ghana. By installing or using Reap Guard, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
Reap Guard is a personal security and privacy tool that runs on an Android device you own. It monitors the network behaviour of the apps on that device, surfaces what it finds, blocks what you tell it to, and, in the Full research edition, offers deeper inspection and an active self-defense response. It runs entirely on the device. It has no server, and it sends nothing about you or your device to us. The way it handles information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Subject to these terms, Venmara grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Reap Guard on devices you own or lawfully control, for your own security and for legitimate research and education. This license does not transfer any ownership of the software to you.
This is the most important condition, and it is not negotiable. You may use Reap Guard only on a device you own or are otherwise lawfully entitled to monitor, and only in a manner permitted by the laws that apply to you.
You must not use Reap Guard, or attempt to use it, to monitor, intercept, track, or gather evidence about a person without a lawful basis to do so. You must not install it on someone else's device to watch them, and you must not use it as spyware, stalkerware, or a tool of coercion or abuse. Reap Guard is deliberately built to be visible on the device it runs on, and it is intended for the protection of your own property and information, not the surveillance of other people. Using it against a non-consenting person may be a criminal offence where you live, and it is a breach of these terms in every case.
Where a feature can capture information about another person who may interact with your device, such as an intruder photo or an ambient audio clip triggered by a security event, you are responsible for ensuring your use of that feature is lawful in your jurisdiction.
The Full edition of Reap Guard includes capabilities, such as opt-in traffic decryption, input and screen capture, and an active remote-response subsystem, that are intended for security research, education, and the defense of hardware you own. It is provisioned by you, on your own device, and is not distributed through consumer app stores. You accept that these capabilities carry a higher responsibility, that you will use them only on devices you own and control, and that you alone are responsible for how you configure and use them, including any destructive action such as a device wipe that you choose to arm.
Reap Guard is a best-effort security tool, not a guarantee. Security is adversarial, and platform limits are real. Blocking by name can be defeated by encrypted transports and hard-coded addresses. Decryption cannot touch apps that pin their certificates. Some capabilities require a device provisioned in a particular way, and an active response can be limited by what the operating system allows a non-system app to do at a given moment. The specifications describe these limits plainly. You should not rely on Reap Guard as your only safeguard, and you should keep independent backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reap Guard is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect or prevent every threat.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Venmara will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, device, profit, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Reap Guard. This includes loss that results from an active self-defense action you configured, from data that left a device before or despite the app's blocking, or from a device becoming unusable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Reap Guard, its name, its logo, and all associated software and content are owned by Venmara Limited Company and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer beyond what the law expressly permits, or create derivative works from the app, except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
You may stop using Reap Guard at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you breach these terms, in particular the own-device and lawful-use condition. Because the app runs entirely on your device with no account and no server, ending the license is a matter of you ceasing use and removing the app.
We may update these terms as the app changes or as the law requires. When we do, we will move the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Reap Guard after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of Ghana will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
